The money and tech news that actually matters.
The Buzz Break is an independent publication for people who want to understand the money and technology stories shaping their lives — without the hype, the doom, or the jargon.
Every day there's a new headline about a hack, a stock, an AI launch, or a shift in the economy. Most coverage either assumes you already speak the language or leans on fear to win the click. We do the opposite: we take the one story that genuinely moved your money or your tech, explain it so anyone can follow, and point out the twist that most of the coverage skips.
What we promise
- Plain English. If a term needs explaining, we explain it.
- Receipts. Every story links to the primary reporting behind it.
- Calm over clickbait. We skip words like "crash," "insane," and "you won't believe." The facts are interesting enough.
- Explain, never advise. We help you understand what happened and what to watch — we never tell you what to buy, sell, or hold.
How we report
We build each story from multiple established news sources and primary statements, and we're careful to separate what's confirmed from what's still developing. When facts are contested — who was behind an attack, how much was really recovered — we say so plainly and attribute the claim rather than stating it as settled. When a story changes, we update it and note the date.
Not financial advice
Nothing here is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. We're a journalism and education project. For decisions about your own money, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation. See our full disclaimer for the details, including how we handle affiliate links and advertising.
